No mystery rankings

Good questions

How Jobs.best works

Clear answers about our data, rankings and live opportunities.

What makes a job one of the “best” jobs?

Jobs.best compares careers using published median pay, projected employment growth, current employment and annual openings. Every ranking shows its exact weights, so you can see what drives the result.

Where does the career and salary data come from?

Career statistics come from official U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics releases — BLS OEWS May 2025 for wages and employment, BLS EP 2024–34 for growth and openings, and Occupational Outlook Handbook profiles.

Are the job openings current?

A live-openings feed is on our roadmap. When it launches, roles will be collected from public employer applicant-tracking systems and refreshed through the day. Until then we show no placeholder listings.

Can I compare jobs in my state or city?

Yes. Jobs.best publishes rankings for every state and 584 areas in total, with local wages and employment alongside the national growth outlook for each occupation.
