About Jobs.best
Jobs.best answers a plain question — which jobs are actually good? — with published U.S. government data instead of opinion. We rank 825 occupations across 468 lists on pay, projected growth, and real opportunity, and we show the exact formula on every page.
The numbers come from the Bureau of Labor Statistics: wages and employment from the Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics survey, growth and openings from the Employment Projections program, and plain-language descriptions from the Occupational Outlook Handbook. Nothing is invented. When BLS suppresses a value, we show a dash and say why — we never fill it in.
Rankings are computed from published U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics data. Jobs.best is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Read the full methodology to see how the scoring works and where the data has limits.
